Going vegan is not about self-validation and self-glorification.
Veganism is about compassion. It is about protecting all life. It goes down directly to that. It’s that simple.
It’s not a passing trend, like the hippie pants, or rock’n’roll jackets.
It’s an act of taking back the value of life in all beings to protect and respect it.
You don’t have to wear fur or leather items to keep yourself warm, there are so many other alternatives. You don’t have the take pills or use cosmetics if you eat naturally and properly.
Going vegan its about respecting yourself and the environment you live in.
Mother nature is alive, and she has natural guardians and protectors all over the place. They are called daimons, daemons, yakshas or nagas and they are peaceful and even teach humans about wisdom of life and universe when they are worthy of receiving the knowledge. They appear very beautiful, handsome and magnetizing in their peaceful form.
It’s a non-ending cycle of torture. And some even take pleasure and laugh while they inflict this torture.
So the Yakshas send messages through natural disasters. Harsh earthquackes, hurricanes, snow storms, floods, hail storms, tsunamis, vulcanic eruptions, drastic climatic changes etc. They are there to protect life and its balance, and that’s what they are supposed to do.
Did you know that in the past humans where taught to preserve the planet? The greeks with their mythology, the early buddhist teachers with their dharma, the dacians, the indians, etc. The people were told not to deplete, or in some cases not harvest at all some natural resources. The forests, wild animals, the wood, gold, silver, copper, medicinal plants, springs and rivers were the symbols of the fertility of the earth. They were taught to not pollute or obstruct the springs, waterfalls, rivers, oceans. They were teaching that when such natural resources are harvested wasteful, spoiled, abused, the nature spirits would be upset and set off calamities over the communities.
They harvest these resources in the most wasteful way. They abuse the wild animals: hunt them down, cage them, kill them for meat. They abuse of the springs, rivers, and of the oceans abundance. They kill the forests just so they can have room to kill more beings for their capricious addiction of tastes.
How can the Earth sustain such a species that acts as a cancer for the entire organism of beings?
All things are working in a cycle system. What we send out, we will recieve unquestionably. There is no doubt about that. The state of the world today is a plain proof of that.
She is trying to save the serial killers of the earth — the humans. Because she knows we can do so much better then this. Because she saw that some of us understand the balance of life.
She is saying: “Stop killing beings, or we will all suffer and die.”
This is the most compassionate message even after all that humans have done. We have to listen. We have to change. We are not born to be killers.
There can be no peaceful life where there is a constant virus that kills in its way.
Being vegan is the natural state of the human being.
The human is a protector not a killer.
Choose to be a real human.
Note: There are some pictures posted here in which great personalities speak of vegetarinism. There was no vegan term then, so unless you call yourself an ovo-lacto vegetarian, a vegetarian has the same diet and approach as a vegan. In the end it doesn’t matter how you call it, just stop the killing, whatever that may imply.
Here is a documentary about Buddha's teachings on animal life:
